Where are we working?

We work in Canada and Costa Rica. In Canada, we work close to home in the province of Ontario with most of our study sites within an hours drive of our home town of Lindsay. In Costa Rica, we work in the village of Parismina along the Caribbean coast. Parismina is located half way between Tortuguero National Park and the port city of Limòn.

Reptile Species at Risk Research in Ontario

We've been working with several reptile species at risk since 2011. The project started with funding from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry Species at Risk Stewardship Fund to conduct research on Ontario's only lizard species, the five-lined skink (Plestiodon fasciatus). We are currently working with lizards, snakes, and turtles.

Community-based Marine Turtle Conservation in Costa Rica

In Parismina, Costa Rica, we are working with the Asociaciòn Salvemos Las Tortugas de Parismina (ASTOP). Our goal is to build local capacity that will ensure the long-term viability of their project.
