Community-based Marine Turtle Conservation in Parismina
While in Parismina, you will assist with nightly beach patrols to protect endangered green turtles. You will meet the members of this small community that work to provide for their families while restoring turtle populations. You will also get your first taste of a real rain forest experience in preparation for your stay at Tirimbina Biological Reserve. Request more information.
Rain Forest Conservation and Research at Tirimbina Rain Forest Reserve
Tirimbina Rain Forest Reserve is a Costa Rican owned and operated 345 hectare reserve with over 9 kilometers of trails. Researchers from around the world are engaged in ongoing research on the plants, animals, and ecosystems at the reserve. Our focus will be on reptile and amphibian diversity but we will be learning about everything from bats to botany during our four night stay at the reserve. Request more information.
Pacuare River Eco-Lodge
The Pacuare River Eco-Lodge is a privately owned and operated lodge on the Pacuare River. The location provides great access to the rain forest and river along with close encounters with abundant wildlife. While the lodge, we will explore the rain forest, swim in the river, and relax on the deck overlooking the Pacuare river. It's the perfect place to wrap up a trip to Costa Rica!
